Hillsboro Route 9 Construction Project 2020
We will update this page as we are updated...
We will be open for business during the Hillsboro Road Project and you will be able to reach us directly using route 9 (Charles Town Pike) or by using local or regional detours around Hillsboro. We will update this page as the Hillsboro Road Project develops.
The Town of Hillsboro, east of us, will undertake a road construction project beginning in March 2020. From March 2020 through early Fall, the quarter mile stretch through town will be under flagging operation, mainly during the week. If you're visiting us from the east, please add a few minutes to your travel time or pick an alternate route ~ see option B below for more detail
A) If you are located North or West of the Town of Hillsboro (in WV, MD, VA, or PA): you are not affected by the Hillsboro road project and can reach us directly using route 9.
B) If you are located East of the Town of Hillsboro and normally use route 9 heading West to reach us: you will be able to reach us directly during our normal operating hours. But please note the current project construction schedule and plan your travel accordingly . . .
As of 8/14/2020 thru the Fall will consist of flagging operations and then partial one-way closures so either add more minutes or use alternate detours available
For brief periods during the Hillsboro Road Project (up to 60 non-consecutive days), route 9 in the Town Hillsboro may be closed to traffic. During these periods, you can reach us using a local detour or a regional detour around the town.
The local detour from route 9 (heading West) is: There are a couple of different options, please see below buttons and check waze/google maps as they should also have updated detour information in their GPS systems.
The regional detour from route 7 bypass (Harry Byrd Highway, heading West) is: right exit from route 7 bypass onto W. Loudoun Street (also called business route 7); right turn onto Main Street, which becomes Woodgrove Road; stay on Woodgrove Road until Stoney Point Road; take a right on Stoney Point Road; left turn back onto route 9 and proceed to our farm winery less than 1/4 mile on the right off of route 9.
